looking at buying an integrated washer/dryer from dixons/curry's - anyone got any experience - is their installation service any good?

Anywhere else recommended?

I got mine from //www.johnlewis.com and they were excellent. Delivered, installed, took away the old one, extra long guarantee.

thanks both -
did John Lewis install for you? The website seemed to imply they would find you an installer but did not do it themselves and I just want a one stop shop!

It was a couple of years ago but I'm pretty sure they booked the installer and the delivery and both turned up together. So it might be an independent installer rather than a John Lewis employee but JL booked them. I had to pay a fee for installation.

John Lewis installed mine.
You can see if they'll do it in your area and then the delivery guys connect it when they remove the old one. They were really quick and helpful - I was 8.5 months pg do couldn't disconnect the old one - which you're meant to do. They didn't grumble like the cirrus man and the old one. Hmm

Pretty sure we got ours from dixons/currys online ( with cash back through quidco) they installed it for about £15 I think and took the old one away for free.

We've bought 3 appliances off appliances online too and they are great. Price is much cheaper for the same product. I'd shop via which or whatever, get the most stars for the price bracket and then look it up on appliances online. Delivery next day for free.

Gas cooker was installed by gas man who called out. Washing machine installed by dh who is not an installer. But they do installations too.
