A 'grown up' pink paint?

EnidButton · 18/08/2017 16:36

I'm looking for a pink shade of paint to put in my dressing room. Probably only on one wall and paired with white (currently F&B All White). Might change it to Dulux Timeless.

But I don't want a sugary pastel pink or a deep pink. Trying to find one that's more powdery or muted? Rose maybe?

If that makes any sense to anyone, please can you suggest one?

Hoping it will be easier than when we were choosing a grey. 25 tester pots later...

Hi, I'm told that F&B Peignoir is a good pale pink,I think it may have greyish tones in certain lights.Whenever I've seen it in magazines it looks a very "grown up" pink, not sugary or girly

Little Green do a shade called Dorchester Pink Mid which is could be what you're after

Thanks Blue It looks good on this pic. Definitely a possibility. Think I was hoping to avoid F&B, found it took a lot if coats to get even, but as it's only 1 (and a bit) wall it might be ok.

Looking at Dulux Pink Sorbet but not sure if it's too sugary. Pegnoir is quite a dirty looking pink which is nice.

Laura Ashley's pale amethyst is a grey pink -my husband was very sceptical at first but even he admits it looks grown up and not girly

Really like the Little Greene one. Might be leaning too warm? Need to see it in RL. I'm definitely going to end up with a wall of testers. Grin

Calamine maybe too peachy.

Really like the Laura Ashley one.

Fired Earth one bit too pale.

All really lovely though, thank you. Quite excited to get decorating now.

I love little green. Have used Julie's dream before - slightly more peachy but a really grown up colour

Although I just read the F&B Calamine makes everyone's skin look amazing so it might be back in the running. Grin

Julie's Dream is lovely but too pale I think.

Dirty pinks usually look a bit miregown up. Same goes for blush pinks.

Let us know what you end up going for, I normally end up spending just as much on testers as I do on the actual paint!

Me too Cake I'm terrible. It has to be just right though doesn't it? I think a trip to the DIY shop tomorrow is in order.

There's a few nice ones on here www.elledecor.com/design-decorate/color/g9558329/best-pink-paint/

Not sure how to get a hold of them but might be good for inspiration.

Think that's the article I saw the 'makes skin look great' quote, but didn't read it all so thank you. I like the F&B Pink Ground one they mention too.

That's gorgeous Grass! Bit too pale I think but will get a tester anyway as it's so nice.
