Unusual style of decoration

There are some rather unusual decorative styles in this house.

I'm thinking of the boat in photo 4 and the wallpaper on the stairs.

Going from upstairs to downstairs it's quite a jaw opener.

Is that pool heated? I'm trying to think how many times need paddling pool out

That boat is really cool but uncommon of course to have it in the dining room. I'd rather use something like that as a book shelf or have it maybe somewhere there is more space in the house.

The boat is a shelving unit. Looks like some of the more outlandish stuff they have in Homesense from time to time.

Upstairs the décor is not to my taste; all that black is just horrible and the faux stone or stucco effect paper on the stairs doesn't work for me. The zesty bathroom would look completely different with a pale neutral colour on the walls.

It's a nice house which is well-presented if you can look beyond the cost of maintaining the pool and the décor.

It's certainly interesting on the interior decoration front, but I don't think it's totally crazy. My friends step mum had her entire bathroom done in mini mosaic tiles to look like leopard print, now that was outlandish!

What is that funny little man in the fish tank in the kitchen?

Those scrolls on the walls are hellish.

The kitchen is like a room from a different house.
The rooms are awful they re a total mishmash eg that ornate wallpaper with tiled flooring.
The pool on the back garden is a huge mistake as is the tiled flooring upstairs. Have they mistaken the houses setting as being Brisbane or Alicante?
Upstairs and downstairs are like different houses, the only similarity being the awful flooring and the one slightly neglected under decorated "normal" room (kitchen and bathroom)

Quite a nice looking house but presentation makes rooms seem disproportionate and it needs a reasonable amount spend on depersonalisation

It's weird isn't it? You never know what's behind a perfectly ordinary looking front door.

The pool takes up so much space, but it is heated. I think the window dressings are overly fussy in every room and as others have said the upstairs is like a different house. But with a bit of paint it could be lovely. At least it has a personality.

I can see the logic on the boat, you don't really need the space in a dining room do you and it's a feature. Plus I imagine they'll take it with them. It's hardly that outlandish, I've seen them on the high street though they don't tend to have the same paint finish.

As a aside I bet the estate agents are scratching their heads at all the new webhits on the house.

I've seen worse, tbh. I think we're all so used to beige and neutral being the norm that when someone uses colour and pattern, we're all aghast (especially when it's not the 'in' colour and pattern. Getting so bored of seeing F&B Downpipe and tropical prints on Instagram).

Buyers do find it hard to see past all this though, I guess and it is a little 'noughties'. Also, the little man in the glass case in the kitchen is odd, I'll give you that.

I don't think it is that bad.... what I find awful is for a house of that prove and size is that the kitchen is totty tiny and spent look out over the back garden.

The weird little old geezer in the fish tank in the kitchen is super creepy!

The decor wouldn't really put me off, the tiny kitchen and the huge pool that seems to take up too much space in the garden would totally put me off. Oh, and the price of it!

That's a wine waiter automaton in the kitchen. He's quite cute although he's taking up a chunk of worktop.

I don't think it's that bad as such, it's just on too large and bold a scale for the size of the rooms

I don't think it's bad at all compared to loads we viewed , the pool being that big will put lots of people of, personally I love itEnvy

It looks like Laurence Lleweylln Bowen's first home.

I like it- it's different. When the went to view, you could easily see past all that crap. The pool is the only sticking point for me.
