pumpkinpie just makes me think of pumpkin patch shop, higgle piggle reminds me of a company that makes soft toys, not sure on cake the cat and funky families is a bit pants.

Like Lulahandiz though.

IMVHO, website names that bare no relevance to product sold/content are a bit - well, the word I want to use isn't suitable for this time of day, so I'll say - 'banky'
There are a lot of these though, so maybe things like pumpkinpie etc are exactly what your target market wants/expects. Not that you'd tell from my posting style, but I'm a copywriter and one of my mantras is 'doing what it says on the tin' IYKWIM, therefore - i'd go with something like funkyfamilies everytime.

I quite like higglepiggle.

If you include mums/kids...you may limit your range in the future should you wish to expand to things which are not strictly mum or kid related. Family is not as bad as it has broader scope IMO

wow - brilliant response!!!!

my original idea was www. 70sbaby . co.uk

as the stuff i want to sell is punky, retro, rock etc... and i was going to utilise other retro sites to maybe be affiliates in future like retro toys and sweets and all things 70's

but

looking at other wholesalers etc... i was looking at fair trade stuff and organic things and these wouldnt fit in with the 70's baby thing!!!!

yes, do bear in mind what you want to do in the future with the business, okay, there's not going to be a suitable 'catch all' name, I agree, but anything too specific, such as 70's kids, might be regretted as you expand your product lines??

Are you only going to sell 70's retro stuff?
Is this name limiting you a bit?

Problem with 70sbaby, or seventiesbaby is that you'll spend all your time clarifying whether the 70 is in numbers or letters. I like the word psychedelic, but again, you're relying on people knowing how to spell it. I just checked a few domains containing the word retro and lots have been taken, but I had luck with kidsretro.co.uk.

Good luck with the venture, BTW.
