Vaginal cosmetis surgery. Worth it?? Im desperate

Really im at my wits end.
My vulva is completely lopsided and right now im considering a loan that i cant even afford too get the surgery to fix it. My inner labia is really long und ugly and uncomfrtable. My outer labia is worse, one "lip" is fine and sits flush against me the other is a good 2 or so inches long. its not just ugly but uncomfortable and gets in the way Its always been like this but getting worse as im aging.
Has anyone had this surgery or know anyone who has? Or maybe have any other idea of how to sort this??

Surely if it is that disfigured and you are so traumatised about it, you could get the op on the NHS.

I have ishoos and in the right circumstances would have surgery, yes.

oh sweetheart, it sounds like it's really getting you down. can you speak to your GP about it, i'd have thought the NHS would help you, that's what it's there for.

and yes, i'm sure i've seen people posting to say they've had this surgery before, maybe you could search? there was a woman with two vaginas on a while back, so there's nothing new under the sun.

you really aren't an idiot, what makes you say that? it sounds uncomfortable, it's not a vanity thing (and even if it were, so what?) you should get it sorted by the NHS, that's what you pay your taxes for.

My cousin breast fed and then felt it had left her boobs saggy and less attractive than before. She got a boob job on the nhs. See your gp and tell him its affecting your mental health/emotional well being and you'd like to have it fixed.

If it upsets you and you want it fixed, go for it, its not stupid and i wouldn't be embarrassed, its not your fault its just a problem that needs fixed.

Have you been watching lots of porn or something? Honestly, that can give you a very skewed idea of what's normal. I know an artist who has made casts of ordinary women's vulvas before- I'll try to find a link. I known mine doesn't feel the prettiest in the world- I mentioned to a gp that I wasn't sure how well a tear had healed, and he referred me to a gynae. I peeked at the gp's screen and he had written "unfortunate cosmetic result" , which made me cry when I got home! The lovely consultant I went to see told me it was absolutely fine and had healed really well, and she really put my mind at rest. And she must see a LOT of fanjos.

That said, you mention physical discomfort, and if this is a constant ongoing thing, then getting it seen to would be absolutely the right thing to ask for. I just think you should make sure that you're not over-thinking this because you've got unrealistic expectations of what it should look like iyswim.

she said (in politer way) that her flaps were too big and rubbed

yes i know someone that had this done.

think very carefully about it and speak to your gp about getting it on the nhs. if it were me I would have it done if it were causing discomfort but not just for cosmetic reasons.

but how can you define 'just' for cosmetic reasons, though? if it's having a detrimental effect on a person emotionally then that's not cosmetic.

but honestly if you are having problems emotionally because your fanny isnt pretty enough then even if you get it 'fixed' you'll still have emotional problems, just focused elsewhere!
IF its causing discomfort then fair enough, but cosmetic reasons no, totally agree

i am thinking of getting my done once i have stopped having babies. similar prob to OP.
i have real issues wearing tight jeans and can no longer horse ride as rubbing is so bad.

It doesn't bother me so much looks wise DH as seen me in so many comprising positions i would be mad to worry about my lady bits being easy on the eye.

Physically tho it stops me doing stuff i enjoy. So i will be asking for it to be done on the NHS. from my reasearch it is a simple procedure, not horrificaly invasive.

IMO they all look weird. I dislike mine but I don't need to look at it and DH likes it. I wouldn't waste money on it personally (mine or the tax payer's)

However if it's uncomfortable or painful I don't see it as cosmetic really.

My friend had to have it under general not local, and it was definitely more than a bit painful!
