I'm in bed and to be honest this is when I respond to emails and do my food ordering and basically read the news and do my online shopping.
It's early by my standards and I've got 2 episodes of Master Chef to catch up on still.haha
It is Good Friday tomorrow so I'll probably watch them as no matter what time I fall asleep I'll still wake up at 7 am.

BeingA,
Have you got iPlayer and All4?
What about watching something , a film, box set .
I love All4, they have so many box sets to watch, you could easily fall asleep watching them.

I am working nights tonight, I look after children who rely on ventilation. This is the one time insomnia pays off.

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman,
It takes more than insomnia to care for children who are desperately ill.
I would call that dedication.
We never hear about nurses like yourself and the care that you provide to children so that they can remain at home with their mum and dad and brothers and sisters for as long as possible.
So Thank you .

Vatressedtenant - same here - not sure turning the light on and reading this helps, but it beats lying in the dark

Me too - just glad I've got a few days off to try and catch up. I've recently started anti depressants and I think they make things worse before they get better - just got to hope it's temporary

avamiah Thank you, I haven't had a chance to come back to this thread as little one has given me a good test of my skills tonight so I have only just read your comment.

user1491782574 I doubt you have killed it, it is just a quiet time of night even for the insomniacs amongst us. I hope your meds kick in soon.

Chronic insomniac reporting here (it's nearly midnight here).

My sleep issues have really been playing up recently. Got to sleep last night without meds for the first time in weeks. I have recently had a couple of night recently where I didn't sleep at all Sad I don't recommend that to anyone!

GP has referred me to a psychologist that specialises in sleep disorders. Think I'll give it a try.

Anyone else have really early memories of sleep problems? I was an insomniac as far back as primary school. I hated being the only one at school camps and sleepovers still asleep at 3am.
