Garden is suddenly overrun with ANTS! HELP!!!!!

Our neighbour recently knocked down and old concrete outhouse in her garden and pulled down an old decrepit fence covered in ivy.

All good as it's been an eyesore for us and a bit dangerous as her old concrete outhouse formed part of our party wall.

However, the result is, you can't stand still for a second in our garden without ants running up you legs - eeuuuuuggghhhhyuck!

Any advice on how to deal with this please?

Am assuming their nest got disturbed or destroyed and now they're swarming around to find a new home.

I really, REALLY don't want it to be in our garden.

Tips please, asap!

Buy a good ant sray and then spray the whole area.

Boiling water is good but only if you find their nest.

Yes to boiling water, and ant powder. AND to stop them entering your house, put a line of talcum powder along your door way. Ants will not cross it.

They seem to rear their ugly heads every summer here. Usually just outside and we spray spray SPRAY ant killer which usually does the trick, however, this year they seem to be coming into the conservatory through a gap below the doorstep and there have been hundreds. DP has put these rentokil gel things down which attracts them and they take the poison back to the nest. It seems to have worked but we shall see!

Ant pie- oh however do you cook them? Treat them like mince? Gravy or tomato or white sauce as a base?

Ever thought about using it to wash your trays?

Oh, thanks ladies. Have been out to get my sunglasses hairdryered as they went all floppy.

Am going to get ANTKILL x 1000 and go crazy tonight in my cocktail dress before heading off to that birthday party.
