It's a clematis. There are a million different varieties all of which look quite similar.

I have that one, it's a clematis montana. It is lovely! Very fast growing and hundreds of flowers.

Def clem Montana. Goes bonkers each year and very hardy too.

I think it's Montana too. I love clematis. They are so easy to look after and after few years, looks like a curtain of flowers. We have many kinds of them, all look beautiful.

Almost 100% certain it is clematis montana. It's very pretty.

There are loads of different kinds of clematis. All quit easy to grow, but they can all go really wild. We have pink, white, white with green tinge, blue, red, purple. All really pretty.

I somehow managed not to notice my Montana's gorgeous vanilla scent till last year.

Are any of the other clematis species scented?

Yes, they are very hardy, and we have some ones from cuttings, and ones that sprouted from random seeds from the plants too.
