Healthy Breakfast ideas for someone with egg allergy

Hi all,
This seems like a very trivial/silly question but really finding it difficult.

Below are things which I cannot have due to allergies and intolerances:

  1. Eggs (mainly egg whites that I am allergic to) so rules out eggs or egg containing breakfasts
  2. Rye/wheat bread / bran (having digestive issues and acne when it's very wheaty bread - white bread is fine even though it contains wheat but probably because it's a more processed form I guess.
  3. Orange juice/dried fruits/high fructose fruits (due to fructose malabsorption but berries are fine as low fructose)
4)Milk - not very "allergic" but does seem to cause acne and bad skin probably due to hormones in it
  4. Artificial sweeteners (allergic) and avoiding sugary foods as family history of diabetes and I often feel quite shaky and low on sugar after the initial sugar high so don't like a sugar-heavy breakfast
    ------------------------

So, the only options I regularly eat are 6 or 7 plain white crackers (which I know is bad in terms of high processed carbs and makes me very hungry by 10 or 11am) and plain oats + almond milk + bit of sugar + few raisins (not too many due to fructose issue)..

I want to stop with the white carbs and/or sugar and really not a fan of fried food either BUT I want something that stops me from getting dizzy from hunger before noon. Also, don't want to keep eating the same thing each day as this can lead to building up an allergy towards the item. Considered smoothies/shakes but no way does that keep me full until lunch. Protein bars from the supermarket contain very high sugar and aren't very healthy. Even homemade recipes do contain a lot of sugar.

    Any ideas please?

Have you tried oats?
If milk is an issue, is yoghurt too?
If that's all out, how about some fruit (heated up from freezer) with milled seeds on top? (With some soy / almond milk products to taste. - Or yoghurt if in.)

Id suggest you look at some of Deliciously Ella's breakfast recipes. You might need to adapt them a wee bit for your particular needs, but the basic recipes should give you ideas, at least.

As you're so restricted due to allergies and intolerances, maybe your doctor could refer you to a dietician or nutritionist to develop a plan for you?

Op have you tried grain free bread? Spelt, buckwheat, khorasan. All good options if you can tolerate those.

And can you eat nuts? You can put various nuts onto muesli or oats, they're very filling. Also try shredded coconut.

Potato cakes/scones baked with roasted tomatoes and/or mushrooms?

Veg packed bubble and squeak?

Sweet potato and vegetable hash?

Rice pudding made with a milk alternative?

Porridge is perfectly fine made with water rather than dairy. You could top it with nuts / bananas / grated apple / stewed pear or plum.

You could also do overnight oats / Bircher muesli with similar ingredients.

Peanut butter or almond butter on brown rice cakes. Almond butter works well with crushed raspberries on top.
Scrambled tofu (lots of recipes for this online)
Porridge made with Alpro hazelnut milk, a spoon of cacao powder and crushed strawberries is delicious. I also make porridge with coconut milk and tinned pineapple (which is low fructose).

Are you veggie or against cooking in the morning? Something like bacon, with mushrooms/tomatoes/beans might suit you

Softened Plums with Vanilla Yogurt is my best option if I don't want to eat eggs for breakfast.

Oat-loaf but low sugar and milk substitute.

Sorry meant to add there is a recipe for oat and yogurt cake that has no flour/eggs/milk/sugar.

You can also make great raw balls using dates/nuts/coconut for breakfast snacks.

I make a gluten free banana bread which is really nice on the run.

Or as pp says porridge with different toppings and no milk or oatabix ect.

Hi GemmeFatale,
Nope I'm not a vegetarian and I did considering what you've suggested a few months back but decided against it as didn't want to be eating meat 3 times a day i.e. at every meal (generally have meat/fish with lunch and dinner most days) nor starting day with fried food lol but thanks for your suggestion :)

Thanks to the others also - will have a look if I can find that recipe online for an oat and yoghurt cake.
