Do you like spicy food?

Chickpea and spinach curry is fairly quick and cheap, ditto mince (meat or soya)/potatoa mushroom curry, vegetable curry. Just buy a jar of Patak's curry paste!

We had veg stir fry yesterday, you could add a bit of chicken breast.

Has to be cottage pie for me. My favourite. And a winter warmer for all this arctic weather we're meant to be getting.

Beef stir fried with spinach in wraps.
Stir fry in pitta bread, yum.
Can you go to your local butchers? I went in last week and said 'Can I have 5 of those' ad it turned out they were lamb and mint burgers, they were gorgeous.

Not so quick but we had last week

Oxtail soup/stew (cooked overnight)

Chicken thighs - take off skin, season with some jerk (or do your own with curry powder, hot paprika, turmeric, garlic salt & black pepper) some chopped onions, bit of water. Leave in fridge overnight and they are lovely roasted. Serve with rice and kidney beans. Use the leftover onions & water to make up a gravy - yum

Lasagne - I have only recently started making this and it's lovely.

Minced beef & onion pie. Fry the seasoned mince with onions and gravy etc. Then bung some puff pastry on top.

Liver & bacon casserole, your kids wont touch it but it's lovely.

sausage casserole - we use veggie sausages as DH won't eat meaty ones - fry off in oil then remove from pan. add mushrooms, peppers, celery, tinned tomatoes, stock, shallots or onions and a bayleaf to the oil and fry until brown. put the sausages back in and cook for an hour either in the oven or on the stove ... i take chubbly chubsters portions out before i add the stock ,,, and yes he eats it in a cute fashion

Serve with mashed pots or put potatoes in with the casserole to cook

How about home made pizza

We are going to hosp in the morning. Pockets filled with sweets as apparently getting a 3 year old to have a blood test is awful. Poor little DS.

M is fine.
