Different nibbles

We're a group of friends who get together every couple of months or so for wine, nibbles & chat. We've been doing it for quite a few years so running out of new ideas. We're not required to provide a full supper, but needs to be fairly substantial as some people come straight from work. Others have already had tea. Usuals are various dips (shop bought or home made); cheese board; baked Camembert; continental meat board; olives; crisps etc ; fruit platter and or cake.
Would like some new ideas - nothing too pretentious but less boring oops I mean a bit different. Thanks

Onion bhajis, samosas, those puffed up puri shells filled with peas and potatoes, popods, Bombay mix, tandoori chicken/lamb/salmon skewers.

Food like a cricket tea, dainty sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiche and salad, scotch eggs, cake.

Thank you, it does look delicious and quick & easy too. Also a bit different to the same old things we seem to have every time

Do a 'champagne' breakfast with prosecco, pastries, coffee, juice, etc, or an afternoon tea?

I really like that idea but we tend to meet in the evenings, maybe something we could do one weekend for a special occasion

To help bulk things out a little (particularly for those that have come straight from work with no opportunity for supper) how about:

  • Mini baked potatoes (perhaps served with a blob of garlic butter)

Toasted and sliced up pitta breads, to serve - with hummous and dips
  • Second the bruschetta suggestion - delicious and can make up a variety of combinations to suit all tastes

Tiny fish cakes (one good bite or two dainty ones) made with tinned salmon and mashed potato and served on a bed of rucula with tartare sauce and/or sweet chilli sauce.

From the Canary Islands:
Papas Arrugas (wrinkly potatoes) with Red or Green Mojo Picon (or both) typical fare from the Canary Islands.
Tiny potatoes are cooked in water and coarse salt to simulate sea water. They are meant to boil almost dry so that a salty crust forms on the skin and makes them wrinkly, served with red or green mojo, even better both.
The "Mojo Rojo" is made from red peppers, garlic, vinegar, cayenne, paprika, cumin, olive oil salt and pepper.
The "Mojo Verde" is the oil, vinegar, garlic, salt, coriander, parsley

Nigella does a fancy popcorn

Mini frittatas cooked in mini muffin tins.

Savoury muffins/scones.

Quesquadillas - my favourite is a tortilla spread with sweet chilli sauce, topped with grated cheese and 6 or 7 basil leaves (leave whole), out another tortilla on top and cook on medium heat in frypan for a couple of minutes each side.

Thai style mango or papaya salad, you don't need to eat it spicy or with the crab.
Chicken satay skewers
Albondigas. I think they are called, it's a Spanish dish where you have meatballs in tomato sauce
Parma ham and Melanson bites
I agree with Vietnamese fresh spring rolls

Small sections of good fresh bagels with smoked salmon, black pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice. Asparagus spears just cooked enough, rolled in Parma ham or Spanish ham. Hard-boiled quails eggs with salt and pepper to dip. Cubes of tortilla on cocktail sticks. Mini cheese tarts - fill raw shortcrust pastry cases with grated cheddar mixed with beaten egg and seasoned, bake in a medium high oven for 15 minutes. Especially delicious served warm!
