what to put in puff pastry?

Hi all,
I've got ready rolled puff pastry thawing in the fridge as I needed the room in my freezer. Any ideas for what to make with it for our nail tonight? Caveats are no cheese or cream and has to be fairly easy.

I was thinking haggis but this makes it VERY rich.

Sausages!! My DD1 aged 4 had the most fun making these for us so yummy sausage rolls and a smug mummy feeling to boot!

Thanks for all the ideas. I think salmon fillet sounds nice. Sausage rolls also sound yummy and easy but ds won't eat -anything- sausages.
Now to Google to find a good salmon en croute recipe!

Every recipe I can find for salmon en croute has cheese or cream in it and looks a bit tricky. Sausage rolls it is! with roast parsnips and broccoli on the side. DS will probably not eat this as he seems to subsist on airConfused.

I'd go for the tart too. Sliced tomatoes, a smear of pesto sauce and finely sliced onions and scatter some olives on top.

dh makes chicken Balmoral and it has a chicken breast topped with haggis and then wrapped in pastry. is tasty.

If you've got apples this is pretty quick, easy and tasty

or jam/marmelade tarts!

I thought a tart needed to have cheese but that one sounds lovely! I'll try that next time.
The sausage rolls turned out beautifully and were very tasty. DS did not eat any as predicted but that just leaves more for me!Grin
