Don't know where to post this but anyway. DH has been badly attacked near our home and he has gone for his first counselling session today. I was just wondering what to expect - whether to give him some space or ask him about it? I guess he will quite emotionally drained and need some time. Thanks

An assault like this is bad any time but our second son was born that afternoon and he had been to the pub to celebrate. Physically he is going to be fine but the psychologocal effects are already very evident. All advice greatly appreciated.

Bump. He's just got back. Seems low. Didn't think it was very useful. The counsellor was not trained in this kind of problem. any advice please?

Your poor DH. He must be feeling terrible. Was that the gp councellor he went to see today? My dp went to see ours but that was more for emotional problems. There must be a specialised councellor available to him. Is he keen to see a councellor or was it put to him by the docs?
