Is coming off Facebook the modern-day digital mental breakdown?
I'm growing more and more concerned when I see my friends "de-activate" their Facebook account. Have they finally lost their digital marbles or simply having a digital detox!? Should we be genuinely concerned for the mental wellbeing of these friends or sometimes close family!?

I used to deactivate when I couldn’t cope with the world anymore, eventually it got so bad I permanently deleted, for me it was a measure of my mental health, not sure if it’s the same for everyone

I get overwhelmed by everything sometimes and have to switch off. I've hidden all the propel that annoy me on Facebook, but follow lots of pages and groups and sometimes all the political stuff, animal rights, etc just gets too much for me.

Social media for those with mental health can be the worst, sadly Facebook is used more to brag about things people have rather then the mundane life that we all live. I find Facebook unbearable at times because it produces an artificial sense of perfection which you cannot compete with.

@Rainboho- haha, maybe I should. It's worth talking about and getting out there. I see so much of it. There'll soon be digital psychologist's popping up on groupon!
