Anxiety through the roof

I was diagnosed with anxiety 2 years ago and have been on Citalopram ever since.

Recently I feel out of control again. I don't know what to do. I have some propanolol for panic attacks but it's 2 years old now (I don't like to use it much because it lowers my BP too much and makes me feel faint, even though it does help). Can I take it? I hate to bother the dr, as that gives me more anxiety.

Help.

What other help have you had MrsMc, there is plenty of other stuff out there.

As for 'bothering the doc', would you go to A and E if you had a broken leg? Would you go to a mechanic if there was something wrong with your car? You get my drift, doctors are there to be 'bothered' i.e to bother about you, that's their job! That said I understand how you feel due to your anxiety. Do you think anything in particular causes it so you can take measures to manage it possibly?

I make myself find a quiet space, just have a cup of tea, coffee or something and do nothing for 10 mins or whatever. Just clear your head and breathe deeply.

Thank you for replying.

Today is a better day, I think subconscious the attack in Manchester is what triggered me. I wasn't worried about it on a personal level, but obviously was affected as most people would be. The day of constant awful media coverage must have been bad for me.

Yesterday I gave myself a media free day and it helped a lot, I did some gardening and tried to centre myself.

I am due a medication review next month anyway so I will mention to the dr that I am still getting some days when I spin out and maybe he will up my dose or something.

Thank you again.
