DH just put 'The Walking Dead' on on catch up, first one of the new series. It was so violent! Triggered my PTSD and had a full on, can't speak, can't breathe pannic attack. Really scarred DH, he nearly called an ambulance!

Its passed now but still feeling anxious. Been bad since I saw my councellor on Monday, stirred everything up. Was bad at work yesterday, told them I felt poorly and hid in a quiet room away from everyone doing paperwork. Todays been flat out busy and coped ok till that bloody TV show! The rest of the week looks like being flat out too with not enough staff. Not sure if I can do it. Feel really guilty if I go off sick as it dumps all the work on my collegue who is suffering with depression!

Been refered to psychologist but not sure how long I will be waiting...

Knowing it doesn't answer anything... but I can never see the attraction of such films. Why people want to watch them really beats me?

Knowing it causes serious upset to someone just makes it even more bizarre that anyone should want to make such a film...

OP do you normally watch it?
I don't but if it makes you feel better, I heard people who do watch it saying they found it shocking and upsetting.
Do you have any meds?
Take care of yourself Flowers

I watch it and love it but it was extremely violent and graphic throughout not surprising it shcked you.

Keep telling yourself that the main baddy was in Gray's Anatomy and a really pussy cat!

Perhaps do a deep breathing exercise and have a warm bath before bed?

DH loves it, infact loves all horror especially zombie films, I normally end up watching them with him. I'm normally ok with it, but not watched since the PTSD until tonight. Someone shouting at their kids in the supermarket can trigger me these last few months.
