Hi

I'm currently on 100mg
I've only got a weeks worth left and really want to wean myself off them
I'm thinking of halving them this week and going back to 50 mg and then next week taking one every day

I know the standard advice is to see your gp and I will be doing that too but has anyone done it this way ?

Thanks

I think the more gradually u do it the better, i think when i came off it i was advised to go down to 50 for 2 weeks then stop but i did it more slowly

From my own experience I would say that you need another prescription as that is way too fast. The slower the better, you won't even notice. I would do something like a month at 50mg then a month at 25mg. I did it fast the first time and it was horrendous and I went straight back on them. Like I said, when I did it slowly I didn't notice.

I stopped very suddenly, just quit taking them one day, and I had no problems at all. But, I had specific reasons for doing that and I know it's definitely not recommended. Anyone else I know has done it very gradually, I mean why not? Nothing to be gained by rushing it really.

I'm stopping very gradually 100 mg for two weeks (from 150) then 50 for two weeks . As advised by psychiatrist today
If I run out and miss a day I feel absolutely awful so I'm not rushing it
