manic warning signs

I'm getting some early warning signs of a manic episode (I've had bipolar for a long time so I by which I mean DH have become good at spotting the early warning signs). I can't sleep, I'm agitated, angry, focus is shit, I'm cleaning compulsively, I'm buying shit.
At least I've still got some insight so I can't be too far gone or I'd be screaming at DH that him and the services were trying to spoil my fun and poison me with drugs Hmm

I'm waiting for my MH team to phone back. I just want a bit of a hand hold really or any tips you use to keep the mania at bay.

My early warning sign was "increasingly eclectic fashion choices" - I'll let you mull over that gentle euphemism yourself. Grin

I hope your team are with you soon, lots of love and step away from eBay!

My friend walks and practices yoga - she normally does, but moreso when she's becoming unwell. Could you try some yoga? There's some good people on YouTube.

Seeing the doctor ASAP always helps her (for adjusted medication), but it took a long time (and several instances of illness) for them to appreciate the need for fast treatment.

Good luck. Hope you're better soon.

Thank you both.
My old service was fantastic and I was always seen quickly and they knew me well.
I moved last year so not as familiar with this service, hoping they'll be just as good.

I bought 4 play suits from eBay a couple of days ago. I've never worn a play suit.

I'm working through my list of relaxation stuff. Yoga sounds good. Will try yoga.

The doctor I spoke to was nice but spoke irritatingly slowly, it was actually painful to try and follow him at that pace.
Meds are being increased. Follow up next week.

Ha, Magpie, one of the reasons I know I'm starting to go high, along with agitation etc is people seem to talk irritatingly slowly. I think it's because I'm speeded up, rather than them per se, IUSWIM.

I've been for a swim today, which has helped (a little)
