Teenager with low self esteem

My teenage daughter has suffered with low self confidence and anxiety for a number of years. She has panic attacks as a result of being in stressful situations. She has had cognative therepy to help control her attacks.
She
enjoys spending time chatting to friends using the internet. She seems to have few real friends that she actually meets up with. She is obsessed with her appearance taking hours to do her hair and make up, yet she rarely washes and her bedroom is disgusting. She is still at college and has a part time job (seems reluctant to do any extra hours than 7per week not seeking overtime) She is quiet by nature and hates to be the centre of attention yet will place loads of pictures on her social networking site and is delighted by the 'liked' comments. It's as though she is hiding behind a mask when online. I just want her to be happy within, have better hygeine and more relaxed as by doing so I feel she will attract genuine friends. Any suggestions on how I can help her would be appreciated:)

I am not an expert, but didnt want this to go unanswered.

It sounds good that she is managing college and also manages to have a part time job.

Has she seen a GP. Not sure if that is worth a try?
Even if she didnt go, you can.
The GP wouldnt be able to talk specifically, but he would be able to give you some general ideas.

May also be worth googling.

On here, is a supportive teens thread started by Maryz, which is a very good supportive and helpful thread. It is probably on the teenagers board.
If you cant find it, I will see if I can.
I think the thread is always ongoing.
