Worried about my partner

My partner has suffered with depression on and off most of his life. He didn't keep this fact from me when we got together. We were very honest with each Other. I got diagnosed last year with it too. He helped me through it. But in the last year and half he has lost 2 of his best friends. One through a motorbike accident and the other died in his sleep a few months ago. Since then it's like my partner is giving up. He says he can feel the end getting nearer and it's worrying me. He won't let me in any more. Won't talk to me. I don't know what I can do to help him. Can anyone give me any advice?

I've been on the mind website a lot recently, and they also offer advice for partners in your situation... here's the link, looks like you could call their adviceline: www.mind.org.uk/help/i_know_someone_with_a_mental_health_problem

has he gone for help himself, or just talked to you about endings?

He doesn't talk at all. He only said about it last night but I knew there was something wrong. Thank you I will have a look at that
