dose has just been doubled

Im feeling very sad my fluoxitine has just been doubled by my GP and been told i may have to be signed off from work. I know this is for my best interests but cant help feeling very tearful about it all. i never wanted depression to affect my work its bad enough that it affects my home life. SUPPORT PLEASE?:(

Hey sorry that's crap I know. When I had to stop work for 6 months while having treatment for PTSD (feeling so on edge all the time and having therapy was all I could cope with) I felt that my last bit of sanity went, the last place where I was still functioning.

Why does the GP want you to be signed off? Do you agree? If you can talk to someone at work about what is going on is there a chance that you can keep going with maybe lighter duties? After all, you being off sick costs them money and hassle and it is in their interest to try and avoid this, so don't feel bad for asking.

i spoke to boss yesterday they were very supportive, but still feel worried about whole situation. starting new therapy on Wednesday hopefully this will help.
