I'm a fit 40 yo with 2 DDs, no mental health problems and I'm posting here about what I've been feeling in the last few months.

I really find it difficult to remember things, forget what I've to get from the shops etc...all the usual things perhaps people all do but I'm paranoid this is going on in my head ferociously. I eat a healthy diet, exercise, and have a positive outlook on life. However this troubles me and I'm wondering if anyone else feels like this.

My OH thinks I'm careless and eg cut corners when I'm tackling a task - e.g. today I realised I booked online train tickets for my reverse journey which is now costing me an extra £100 due to my sloppiness in booking the journey in the 1st place. I realise we all make mistakes yet mine are on a daily basis!

One train of thought is that I gave up a job a few years ago which I enjoyed and was quite challenging and now work in a less taxing environment, and perhaps my brain cells have switched off.

Finally, I dont take any supplements (fish oils et al) and do do sudoku, read books and play the piano (in the hope that I keep my grey cells moving) fwiw.

Does anyone else have any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
