I had a very good CPN who was really beginning to help me with my Borderline Personality Disorder. In august I had a rather horrid car accident, missed an appointment and then received a letter saying that she was going on a placement I would no longer be able to have therapy sessions. Although a bit of a let down at the time I just plodded on with life...
Three months on and I am hitting a wall. I am finding it increasingly difficult to control my emotions and I can't see a way forwards. I have an appt to see my GP on wed - but I have been through so many different people (including a mis-diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder which resulted in lithium poisoning) that my confidence is frankly non-existent in their ability to help me fix this. Actually my confidence overall is pretty crap.
I was wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions for good self-help books? I really need to try and tackle this head on rather than rely on the frankly disappointing help I have had from the NHS.
