High Intensity Therapy - anyone heard of it?

Long story short.....dh had been referred for CBT but after a 20 min phone consultation today, they've told him he really needs 'High Intensity Therapy' instead, he's having a 45 minute talk to someone on the phone on Wednesday. I've been surfing the net and am struggling to find any info on this, all I can find is relating to jobs in this field.

Anyone able to shed any light?

Thanks :)

Thanks for that and good luck with yours!

Took me bloomin ages but I THINK this is still CBT - there is low intensity and high intensity therapy, think that's what it is. Low Intensity I think if for mild-moderate depression etc whereas High Intensity is for severe depression and/or more deep rooted problems (which makes sense why dh has been referred for this instead).

Would be interesting to hear how you find it (IF you feel like talking about it after?)

Is it the scaled stuff for DBT? Or they might call it tiers? I know the lower tiers are for more readily solvable problems, and the higher tiers are for deeper issues/more resistant behaviours that possibly wouldn't have previously been addressed in behavioural therapies.
