Gym gear

I’ve recently joined the gym. I’m a runner, I have a couple of T-shirts, a bra, a couple of trousers and a pair of proper running shoes.
And then I go to circuits, where my T-shirt gets around my armpits doing jumping jacks, my leggings start slipping halfway when doing lounges, and I’m either hoicking stuff up or pulling it down constantly.
Pilates a couple of days ago was interesting. I had a normal T-shirt on, not good, spent the time with a bare midriff.

So, where do I shop? Mid range prices? I think T-shirts are a priority here. I have one from Lidl, one from under armour and a couple from running events.
Is there a difference between Pilates T-shirts and one I can wear for body pump? How do I prevent them riding up?
Help!

I get a few nice bits from Sweaty Betty but most of my other stuff is from decathalon . I have about 8 sports bras as they get sweaty so have a clean one every day I tend to use vest tops rather than a normal tee shirt. Although sometimes a long sleeve top can help if I've had a chafing feeling under my arms .
Tuck your top in to stop it riding up .

I hear you! I'm a runner, who ended up with a running vest around my shoulders - and my whole belly on show - the first time I went to yoga.
Decathlon all the way. Their basic Domyos gym stuff, and Kalenji running gear, is great for classes. You can stock up on good quality vests, t shirts and capris very cheaply, and they're just as good as most of the more expensive brands. Just make sure you get close-fitting stuff, or double-layer vests with a tight vest underneath and a baggier one over the top. That way nothing will ride up.

I got a good two layered top in TkMaxx. Underneath layer is long and tight so doesn’t ride up when you’re bending over. Top layers is a bit looser so you don’t feel too exposed. M&S do similar.

Decathlon kalenji leggings are high waisted and don't slip (www.decathlon.co.uk/womens-tights-run-dry-id_8381587.html are my fave, but all from the brand have been good)

Muddyfox ladies cycling jerseys (and other brands, but I'm wearing this one right now!) Have an elasticated bottom edge, so they wont move either

Decathlon - good quality stuff that is functional (pockets, drawstrings and doesn't go see through). And inexpensive

Try their cycling department too, if you want slightly longer tops with that grippy stuff on the hem

I hear you OP!

I want T shirts (not vests) with a V or scoop neck that are not made of really light material and are close fitting so they stay in one place. Adidas freelift are the best I have found www.amazon.co.uk/adidas-Womens-Cf4442-Freelift-T-Shirt/dp/B071XGVNYY?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

I'd like more like this.

I've got Decathlon kalenji for running which is fine but they are too flimsy and floppy for gym. Yoga etc ones are too baggy.

I like h and m.

Tk maxx is often great for bargains.

I can’t exercise in a flappy t-shirt, so wear a sports bra and a tight tank top, with running shorts/leggings with strings to tighten up.
Nike dri fit for preference, older models for cheap from Sports Direct.

Thank you all so much, you have no idea just how helpful I find your suggestions! Off to Decathlon! And scouring TK max.
A break up seems to be fab for losing weight at the moment 😂, I’ll have to weigh myself at the gym tomorrow, just realised that might be another reason I nearly lost my trousers at parkrun this morning. I was 75kg a few weeks back.

I'm a massive fan of Sweaty Betty leggings (sale purchases only), they're the only leggings I've had that don't fall down, wear brilliantly for years, and are completely opaque (but you still need to do the squat test in every pair, as I've tried a few SB pairs that didn't pass!).

I prefer vest tops, and have a selection of tight and floaty ones.
