Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a YouTube Pilates video? There are so many I don't know how to choose one.

I did classes a few years ago and loved it, (but was v much a beginner!). I can't get home from work in time for a class but would like to do one at home instead.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Following. I've banjaxed my back so really need to work on my core.

It's not Pilates, but yoga with Adrienne is great and she has loads of different levels and workouts.

I'm also looking as my pilates instructor has left my gym. I've tried the eFit30 videos on Youtube but been lead to Ange's Pilates. She looks amazing!

I tried a few when I was starting out. Searched for beginners but they were too advanced and didn't explain properly. Could you afford for a proper instructor to give you a one-off 1 to 1 class at home to give you things to practice?

I would definitely recommend having an individual lesson with a Body Control qualified teacher. You will learn the basic principles correctly and will be given appropriate exercises to do in your own time. Initial cost is high but will certainly be worth it long term as far more effective. Hope that helps!

The Balanced Life Pilates by Robin Long channel on YouTube has many videos, including a five-part beginner series and a 30-day Pilates challenge.

Thank you all so much for your suggestions. I will get some private lessons but for now I just want to do some casually in my own tine at home. I'll try the YouTube suggestions, thank you!

I've just done the 5 Robin Long beginner vids as per suggestion on here. She's great! I use adrienne for yoga and she has a similar chilled out style

Nameforsaken, I'm so glad that you liked Robin Long! I find her style to be very reassuring and relaxed.

There are a couple of Pilates videos on the NHS webite - I have done the beginner one twice but have never done it before so can't vouch for the quality. I'm going to have a look at the Robin Long ones.
