I want to buy dd a gift ( keen but amateur) of some bits of kit.
Can you recommend an online retailer and any other useful info?
thanks

I think you might get some of the items in Decathlon.
My friends DD does fencing and I think she said the best selection of stuff is from Germany.

Aha - off for a looky.
All I know is that everything is left or right handed - even the britches grin

I know I could ask dd - but she does not know a great deal either!

Only electrical kit there - bummer

Glove is the best bit of kit to start with (not too expensive if she changes her mind). Have you spoken to her coach/teacher? Ours used to do bulk orders to keep costs down.

Coach does not seem v keen on having to organise an order. Can't blame him really . Off to look at gloves

when i used to fence they had an amazing shop in the west end of london- looks all much smarter now....

definitely agree chatting to coach is worth while.

blast from the past looking through the site, thank you for bringing it back for me!!

We used to use this lot www.duellistfencing.com/ (couldn't think of their name earlier) but I see they are under new management. Oh, and the fencing socks that appear on the home page are a lot of bollocks - white football socks are just fine smile
