Daughters having to wear school tights in warm weather

In the recent hot weather I really felt for my 2 daughters who attend a school with a very strict inflexible school uniform policy.Black tights (60-70 denier!) must be worn throughout the school year regardless of how hot it is.Whilst the girls can remove their blazers if it is very warm, there is no permission to wear ankle socks and go bare legged.Tights must be worn.I feel it is unreasonable but dont want to challenge the school.

Isn't that unhealthy for a start?

Is the education worth the torture?

The local Catholic school does this although a few girls rebel and wear ankle socks. I do pity the girls there.

have you ever asked if they maybe just missed it out on the uniform letter??

Every couple of months some freak posts about their daughters and tights, or asks questions about wearing tights with or without knickers. Freak.

Has anyone searched the posters history?

There is a tights troll who pops up every now and then to ask lots of questions about tights and sweat and young girls/boys.

Bizarro.

Do search on OP's name, and one on 'tights troll'.

purepurple · 06/06/2009 16:36

oh
how sad
I have visions of a little man wearing a cloth cap rubbing his hands on his thighs, all glazed eyes and foaming at the mouth, while saying "tights!"
and now it won't go away

Yep 4 posts, all mentioning tights.

Including one about a 10 year old boy having to wear them for ballet (eurgh)

Mnhq should ban the OP.

Won't they just reappear under another name. What an odd topic to troll about!

I can't see why anyone would want to troll about tights-weird!

Report
bruffin · 07/06/2009 14:34

It's the same troll who gets excited about getting their teenage daughter into kilt style skirts for school, and their teenage boy into shorts for school and their 4yr old into cotton nappies.

Is it the same one who started sevearl threads about primary girls wearing trousers a couple of years ago?
