DS really wants for his birthday one and have finally saved up enough money to get it.

Over here the prices are about £99 but no not come with any games, or they bundle packs for a few games are £150, I have seen lots of ebay for £99 where they come with 30 games pre-installed which is going to be a much better set for my son.

Just wandered if anyone has bought this or anything from china/hong kong and whether everything was ok

Yes. We bought one for ds last month (£85 inc 9 games and p&p). It stopped working within a week. We've sent it back and are waiting for a replacement. We asked for a replacement rather than refund because we wanted to assume the seller was honest and the faulty ds was just one of those things. Not sure if this was wise - time will tell.

Sorry not to make your decision any easier

I wouldn't. The games I had from HK sellers were fakes.

Have you looked in your local 'Game' shop ours sell reconditioned/2nd hand DS for around £60 plus loads of 2nd hand games for around £10 (plus if you pay £12 you can additional one years warranty including accidental damage our friends ds dropped his and smashed it and they replaced it with a brand new one)

DON'T.

One of the games I bought from HK actually had this charming little message as it loaded on to the Gameboy:

If you bought this you are a silly f.cker.

Not worth the risk. They are pretty well all fakes, IME.

I would avoid.....there is one particular company (can't rememebr the name), but if you search them the string of complaints is a mile long. Essentially the games are fake and I think you can get done for import duty.

If it helps, I have bought accessories from HK, such as stylus', covers and iphone covers. They've all been fine.........knock off but nontheless fine.

Yeh - I wouldn't - I bought styluss (styli??) at 1p for 4 incl P+P??!! Fine for me arrived and fine but I think it's company's like that building up their postive feedback to fleece people with their bigger crap - to bigger risk to take. I bought a game to Nintendogs - I was pretty sure it was a fake but nearly worked ok (wouldn't restore to factory settings - that was all) One from Game and their lovely extended warranty - years of worry free dsing for ds!!
