She may be a complete fruitcake - but you gotta love her.

The kooky queen of Iceland returns to form with a suitably weird video.

You have to admit that it is an enveloping and fascinating watch - even if you find the music a little manic.

It puts to shame all these pathetic, formulaic and uninventive videos churned out by the likes of MTV where no thought has gone into the making.

More power to her i say.

One of my mates came out with a great quote about Bjork -

"She's nuttier than squirrel shit"

Her first album Debut is one of my all time favourites and I still do not get bored listening to it today.

she's a feckin loon

I like the stuff she did with David Arnold

and what's the video where her frying an egg is the principle action?

I loved The Sucarcubes, I liked Debut and loved 'Play Dead' with David Arnold. After that...

She's like musical branflakes. You know it's good for you, but you wouldn't want to listen to a whole bowl. [See also Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello]

suzy, i think the fact she is a bit loopy is a bit of a turn on for men. Am i correct?

BigGitHoHoHoDad · 17/12/2007 12:27

she's not my sort but I think she is very gifted musically.

I would love to spend a night with her - i bet it would be fun.

One night would probably be enough though.

ooh Eric, would you kick her out in the morning with her bus fare home?

Report
BigGitHoHoHoDad · 18/12/2007 11:08

I wouldn't let her get on the bus, did you seee that video she did (Oh so quiet) where she was on top of that lorry dancing, singing and all that. She's not doing that in my neighbourhood, on top of a bus at that time of the morning...

You mean like a Godfather 'whack' you?
I did that incident at the airport, though I did feel sorry for her. She strikes me as a sensitive sort.

Battier than norahs tights, I love her.
Debut is by far her best album.

I think Bjork would fit in rather nicely on Craggy Island and let's face it, the cold wouldn't be a problem would it.

She said the reason she attacked that reporter was because they started asking about her child and I think since she was having a bad day anyway, it tipped her over the edge.

southeastastra · 18/12/2007 11:21

it's on youtube, the reporter just said 'welcome to taiwan' (or wherever it was) and bjork just smacked her.

Debut is in my top five list.
I loved the Father Ted with the Nazi, the window with the dirt on sketch had me in tears when father Ted was looking out the window gesticulating wildly!

pantoinghousewife · 18/12/2007 11:22

Father Ted much under rated imo.

Report
lazawreath · 18/12/2007 11:22

she did an interview and she said that they were firing questions at her about her child, perhaps not that particular reporter, but i think they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
