Covid

Why on earth did Boris not hold his meeting virtually?

Totally unnecessary for him and the MPs to have met face to face surely?

The advice is to work from home where possible, why on earth did they not follow it?!?

Because he is a twat who can't follow his own rules
Much like cummings
And that scottish woman

Seems to be a running theme

Because rules are only for the little people?

Because he's a ginormous asshat?

Lots of workplaces are still doing face to face meetings, really don’t understand it.

Hmmm it seems the correct answer is f. All of the above.

Because backbench Tory MPs need photo ops with Boris to brag about on social media

Hehe, ginormous asshat...

The MPs he was meeting with are part of the 'Common Sense Group' Grin

Depends on the classification of the discussions they needed to have. You can’t talk at Secret on Zoom...

Report
MushMonster · 16/11/2020 19:00

Well their conversations are sensitive, and they would need a great deal of IT security, so I can see why they meet in person if possible.
I was actually wondering how do they manage to hold meetings internationally. I can see hackers going crazy!

Because he is a twat

I second this answer

Why do people keep insisting that Boris can't possibly have virtual meetings when we know he had virtual cabinet meetings in the first lockdown?

Trying to make excuses for the incompetent bellend.

Why on earth did Boris not hold his meeting virtually?

@Hayeahnobut are you serious? That's possibly the greatest thing I've ever heard. Common Sense Twats Grin

Oh also because he knew he'd fucked up by being an enormous twunt and there's a massive no.10 reshuffle / apology situation going on... cummings left and all that. So I feel like he sought out anyone who may have covid to give himself a reason to isolate and not deal with his shit show.

@Sunbird24 - you can. It is possible to turn off all recording.

Report
Sunbird24 · 16/11/2020 19:19

@luckylavender turning off recording isn’t enough, the data still gets transmitted over the internet and would be susceptible to intercept. Shouldn’t really be talking at anything above official on Zoom, at least that’s the guidance in my department

Report
luckylavender · 16/11/2020 19:32

I did a highly confidential meeting over Zoom recently, subject to top level classification & was allowed to as it was considered secure.

More importantly why does Carrie not make him brush his friggin hair especially when he's going on live TV

Presumably because he isn't a child and she isnt his mother or are you joking?

He purposefully ruffles his hair just before he’s on air for his carefully crafted buffoon persona. There are videos of him doing this. That’s ok when you are a comedian/after-dinner speaker but not PM who is thick enough to get covid twice by his stupid actions.

This is all very convenient for him, I think he's at breaking point.

Fishier than an otters pocket, if you ask me.

Yes, I think as usual he gets his minions to do his dirty work, otherwise he would have been asked about DC drama or even what role Carrie played in all this. Imagine him squirming at that!

@Sunbird24 Are you seriously suggesting that the Government have no secure methods of holding remote national and international meetings and that all their meetings happen in person? If so you might find you’re invited to join the aforementioned ‘common sense group*’.

*please note that using common sense is not a pre-requisite of membership

Report
Sunbird24 · 16/11/2020 21:56

@GrumblyMumblyisnotJumbly not what I said - of course there will be those facilities within certain Government buildings. However, there is no such thing as a top secret video conferencing facility that MPs can just dial into from home.
