well both really. My period just isn't arriving. Got lower back pain on and off and a little bit of cramping sometimes. Going to the loo a lot but it's hot here so I'm drinking a lot (live overseas). Now CD 36, last period was 32 and am normally under 35 days. No sore boobs or sickness or tiredness particularly. I quite often feel period about to start but nothing. creamy cm..not even spotting. It's driving me mad. I just have to do a test don't I? Is it too early to test as I don't really even know if I'm late yet? I'm symptom spotting aren't I?

i think i'm going to have to go and buy a test. Just keeps feeling like I'm going to come on. Cramps are milder than normal but definitely there.

i had cramps too, exatly like period cramps. get a cheap one from tesco-they do 2 for less than £4. reliable, too.

Definately test - but buy a homebrand one - Asda or Tesco own. They are just as reliable and much cheaper.
Good luck

Been putting it off cos it really feels like period coming and only been ttcing for 2 months so expected it to take longer somehow.
Expect if I once buy a test period will come. Are you supposed to do them first thing in the morning?

I tested last week but unsure about my menstrual cycle due to coming off the pill, it tested negative but I haven't had a period now for nearing 6 weeks and have been getting some early pg signs. I honestly have no idea what my body is doing at the mo. I will be retesting on sat (couple of days before I go on holiday) not sure now what result I actually want! It's the not knowing that is frustrating.

I had cramps too before BFP, I remember saying to DP that my period was definitely on its way. I tested the day before my period was due and it showed positive and that was about 7 in the evening.

Good luck - let us know!

Are you up yet Macaco? Have you tested?

I've been cramping on and off all night and morning and still no period. Been having so very peculiar dreams too, I dreamt that I was having a bath and passed a massive sac that had a baby in the size of a monkey nut, it was very odd. Am tempted to buy another test today and test tomorrow morning, it could start proving expensive but I am now 9dys overdue.

Morning.

First thing I thought when I got down here was 'I wonder if she's up and tested yet!'

Chloe55 - I hate waiting for it. I'm CD32 of first cycle after coming off the pill, also still feels like it's coming but no, nothing! I'm only 3 days late and it's doing my head in already so can understand how you must feel! From what I've read, it's very normal to be really late like this, long cycles for some months after coming off the pill I wish I knew this before TTC!!!

Anyway, Macaco, let us know how you get on!

Yeah Loonytune, after much research (since being so bloody late!) I have read about it sometimes taking up to 6mths to have a period again after stopping the pill. I got a period in the firt cycle when ttc my ds though so was hoping the same would happen

I'm trying to find out whether, if it's a case of me just missing a period, most of the period/pregnancy symptoms are common, like cramping/headaches/nausea/dizziness/bloating - any ideas?

Will come and check back later, got to go out to soft play at 9.30am and 3 kids still in pj's (had 2 overnighters last night, I'm a childminder) and I need a wash.

Chloe55 - not sure but I have had lots of things happen and the Dr said it was due to coming off the pill and hormones etc. I've even got white spots on my nipples like with ds plus had fluid coming out of one but I know period is coming (cervix low aswell as feeling like I'm due - have done for AGES )

Thanks everyone. Yes It's my first. I'm 32. Got married in June and came off pill at the end of that month so feeling a bit shocked to be preggers in 2nd month of ttc. I really thought it would take ages. Doesn't feel real at all. What do I do now? Do I go see doctor straight away? I heard that they just tell you to take folic acid (which I'm doing) and come back later when it's further on. Can't be more than about 4 weeks gone (last period 17 July). oooh my goodness. How do I work out when I'm due?

You don't need to see the doc yet, I think it is more like when you are about 10wks so you can book in for your 12wk scan.

Google pregnancy calculater and it will bring up a site that will automatically work it out for you.
