Second month of trying after a chemical pregnancy. Only 7 days after ovulation but convinced I have every pregnancy symptom under the sun. Feeling sick, sore boobs, achy legs. But then it could all be in my head. Probably too early to be feeling any of this. This TTC business is going to drive me to madness!

Oh my goodness...YES!! I have been feeling light headed, sore nipples, cramps way before I usually get AF! Was also feeling a little sick but I thought the same as you! Surely it's too early to tell? My period is due on 20th and my body usually runs like clockwork. The waiting is driving me potty though! X

Glad it's not just me klouise! I know I'm probably just willing myself to feel these things but the symptoms feel so real. Fingers crossed for you!

It must be the excitement playing silly buggers with my brain! Managed to do this last month but then got AF as usual but now I have convinced myself that this time it feels different!

Good luck to you too!

I used to but not anymore. I know it's just not going to happen so I don't buy tests or use them !

I have done this loads & am pretty much always wrong. I'd say try putting it out of your head until you get a + result, after that, there's still ages to go before a scan confirming all is ok.

I realise I'm the voice of doom & gloom-I've had 3 miscarriages so err on the side of caution. If you won't be able to put it out of your mind anyway, enjoy the dreaming & planning about the future you could have & good luck for a bfp

I do. Convinced last month, cycle 1 after coil removal. AF finally came on cd42. Convinced again this month, now on cd46. Still bfn.

Thanks everyone. This is still all quite new to me and realistically, I know it's unlikely I am pregnant but I can see how easy it could be to become obsessed. Good luck to everyone in the same position x

Me too, took a test which was negative,I have some achy veiny boobs, aching legs and knees, a bloated tummy, cannot stop eating ( which is rubbish as I'm on slimming world) we have only just started trying and i can't remember how I was with my daughter, really hope I am and it's just too early to test. When is a good time to test? When I'm overdue my period. X

I'm so glad we are not alone in this. I was reluctant in joining this site at first (not sure why?!) and now I'm glad I did. It seems there are many others in the same boat. I'm trying so hard not to let it take over my brain but it's all I can think about at the moment! Trying to resist buying a test until Thursday. X

I have a test in the bathroom cupboard but not going to test until the day my periods due. Until then, I'll try to keep myself distracted! X

More than once Blush Still not sure if I had line eye or a very very early chemical pregnancy last year. Got a real squinter on an internet cheapie and rushed off all excited to get a first response which was negative and then my period started later that day... It was my Birthday and I spent the whole afternoon on the sofa feeling miserable Sad I was a day late so not totally neurotic but still jumped the gun a bit I think!

Hope this is your month, sore boobs alerted me to my BFP even though I ignored them for a few days as they are normal for me before AF arrives but they felt different somehow!

Chemical pregnancies are basically very very very early miscarriages. I'm not sure at what stage they go from chemical pregnancies to miscarriages though.

They are quite common but have only really been known about since invention of early tests. The egg is fertilised but for whatever reason does not lead to a viable pregnancy. You can have positive tests which I guess mean that the egg must have implanted but often the periods won't even be late or only off by a few days so before early tests they just weren't noticed.

That is my probably poorly informed laymans understanding anyway.

I am 5dpo and already convincing myself I am! This is my third and with my second we were actively ttc and using ov tests and from approx 4/5dpo felt 'symptoms' and had a + at 10dpo
Trying not to get hopes up as every month I feel pregnant despite precautions so will have to wait a little longer!

I have decided I'm definitely not testing until the day my period is due which is 26th. I might cave before then though. Smile

Hi, Im going to need to hop on this too. Second month of trying and chemical pregnancy last month. Hoping this month is my month. 10 dpo and ive got sore boobs, dizzy spells, tiny waves of nausea... but so difficult to know if I'm just hyper aware of every little thing going on in my body because I want to be! If I'm not then I actually fear doing this all over again next month. It has totally consumed me and I'm scared of more disappointment... Goodluck to all of you! lets get through the TWW together!!!

Hi Peach! I too am worried that every month will be like this, spending 2 weeks out of 4 wondering and thinking about all the what ifs. Sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy too x

I convinced myself I was pregnant, pretty much right after shagging DH one night actually! I took a test on the day AF was due, negative. Didn't believe it so did another test two days later - still negative... until I strained and strained and strained my eyes and I could swear I saw a feint line. Did a digital test and yes, I am definitely pregnant!

This was last month and now I've got really horrible first trimester nausea and tiredness so I've no doubts that I'm still pregnant (whether the baby is developing normally remains to be seen at the first scan of course).

Don't want to give anyone false hope but it is possible for your hunch to end up being correct.

I kind of thought I was pregnant early on one cycle. Did an ic stupidly early (was temping and doing opks which put me at either 5or 6 dpo) and got a definite line. Nobody believed me and told me implantation doesn't happen that early so couldn't possibly be true. Definitely pregnant, 10 weeks now and 2 early scans confirmed dates so I really was only 5/6 dpo.

However I had a couple of months prior to that during ttc when I was also absolutely convinced, more so than that month TBH - sore boobs, nausea, exhaustion - and multiple tests and a period confirmed I was entirely wrong.
