Hi All.

Am currently on cycle 5 and AF is due Sunday. According to Ovia I can test from tomorrow, did an IC this morning and was negative.

Am feeling quite down this week, would like to chat with others who are going through the same thing.

Hey mammabear, I got a bfn this morning but not really sure when to test as I had mc last cycle and no af since.

Since the mc Ovia isn't giving me any predictions on anything, weird how dependent I'd got on it!

Happy to chat Flowers

Hi there. So sorry about the miscarriage Flowers have you been looking after yourself?

Have been feeling crampy this morning so am expecting AF to be rearing her ugly head soon. I hate this waiting game.

When did your mc end?

Thank you. I was in bits for a few days but we both wanted to crack right on and I felt alright once I'd stopped bleeding, which was 20th August.

I'd bet the house on having ovulated around the 25th and have been feeling exactly the same this cycle as I did the last one e.g. not like af is coming at all, no af symptoms, tired but also a funny sort of energised, smelling everything!

Someone on another thread said to count first day of mc as if it was first day of your last period which has helped me work out some dates. So I'm only CD23 and even with my usually short cycle I could be waiting a couple more days for af/better chance at testing.

People say all sorts of things about cramping, you know your body and how you usually feel but it absolutely doesn't seem to rule out being pg rather than due af. Have you had any unusual symptoms?

If you're not actually due until Sunday you've got days more ahead of you, which makes the waiting harder obviously, but means you're nowhere near out yet.

Have a big unmumsnetty hug.

Sometimes I think obsessing over Ovia and trawling the conception boards make me feel worse and that just getting on with life is better, but it's like anything where they tell you to stop trying or stop thinking about something and it's inevitable that it's the only sodding thing you can then do. I wish there weren't so many of us in this stressful boat, but thank god we have good virtual company. I told my Mum about the mc but no one else knows we're trying - doubt they'd be remotely interested! - so it's a blessing to have people to share the waiting game with.

Hi mammabear31 firstly new to this so don't know all the acronyms but wanted to say I know how you feel.
I want to test tomorrow but not sure if I should. I've been ttc #2 for a while with no success and I'm due on soon but for the first time I think I actually have symptoms. I keep trying to tell myself that they're not real so I don't get disappointed but can't get it out of my head. Did a test last night and it was negative but as its early (10 from conception) I hope that means it was just too early. Im scared to test again and find out its def negative as at least I have hope for now.

Trying to hold out till Monday but it's hard.

Annelovesgilbert so sorry to hear about mc. I applaud you for your strength, am worried that if that happens to me I'll just give up (I am 41 so time is not my friend)

Hi Jibberoo, how are you doing? Are you around testing time?

I was so so happy to get my bfp, DH was over the moon bless him, and I want it again! Sadly it wasn't to last but we were on cycle 7 and we so want this baby, so at least we know it's possible for us. We're holding onto that. I desperately hope when you get your precious bfp it'll stick and you'll get your baby.

Oh so sorry, didn't see your message above!

10DPO is quite soon so fingers and toes crossed af (period) stays away and you get your bfp sooooon! x

What symptoms are you having? We may as well distract each other while we drive ourselves mad waiting!

I've had no af symptoms and they usually go on for a week before I come on. Boobs are tiny but nipples are crazy sensitive (they usually double in size before af). I was asleep for hours on the sofa last night beyond exhausted then up hours wanting to be sick. I'm craving carbs and have had my first sandwich for months. Also an entire bag of toffee popcorn when I usually hate anything too sugary.

I can smell everything! Not helping the nausea. I'm having mad hot flushes, I'm usually cold.

Hey! Ive been trying for weeks! I'm currently almost 2 weeks late & only got positives on clearblue 😞 xx

I usually don't have much symptoms before period (granting on day I come on) but I've had sore nipples, cramping for 2 days and nausea for 2 days - never get nausea! While the other 2 are easily period related it's been 2 days and nothing which is unusual. I'm rubbish at tracking so can't tell you exactly when I'm due on but think my cycle is more 25 days so should be any day now.
I'm going crazy at work and can't concentrate so am buying another test now to try tonight and have promised myself that if its negative I'm going to forget about this for at least another week! Off to boots I go!

Good luck for tomorrow Meg! Don't know why I'm stressing, if it is positive then I'll just start stressing about everything else!

Jibberoo, could you tell yourself you'll buy a test tonight but wait until the morning to use it? Best chat with first wee of the day!

Hi Meg, people seem to agree you can't get a false positive, have you done more than one that's been bfp? Good luck at the docs and let us know how you get on!

Be nice to get some good news on here Smile

Hey! I've had 4 positive clearblue tests, 1 negative tesco and a negative clearblue digital this morning. What does AF mean? Jibberoo, I agree, try and hold out until morning for your FMU! Xx

AnneLovesGilbert · 07/09/2016 19:46

What makes you doubt the positive tests? Hopefully a blood test will confirm it all! There's all sorts of stuff around about different tests picking up on differing levels of the pregnancy hormone but the doctor I spoke to said a positive result is a positive result.

AF means Aunt Flo, which means period! Hope she stays away for all of us.

Meg91 · 07/09/2016 20:03

I would have genuinely believed them, which I did. But I came online, for some reason and saw that clearblue are well known for false positives! I have taken 4, from 2 different packets. I'm finding it hard to believe them for that reason and we've only been TTC for 2 months. I have 2 daughters already, both November babies so we were hoping to avoid another November baby. Ahh! Thanks, been trying to work it out for ages xx

Jibberoo · 07/09/2016 20:13

Well ladies should have read your thread earlier Sadtook the test as soon as I got home and it's a big fat negative. As I said I'm not going to take any more unless flo (thanks for the lingo decoding Grin) doesn't arrive next week.

I agree a positive is a positive especially if you have more than 1. Hopefully it's more likely that the negative ones are wrong!

Meg91 · 07/09/2016 20:57

There's a few of the lingo words that i can't work out! So sorry you didn't get the result you wanted, hopefully next week you'll get a positive! I'm going to feel embarrassed if it's a negative at the docs. Xx

Report
Jibberoo · 07/09/2016 21:17

Nothing to be embarrassed about - you have 2 confusing results so want clarity. And let's face it we are not on here because we hope for negatives. Hope is what keeps us going each month.
Am starting to get really strong cramps now so pretty sure flo will be making an appearance soon.

Report
Jibberoo · 08/09/2016 08:47

Less crampy and I think breasts less sensitive. Feel a bit sick but haven't eaten yet so probably just hunger Grin

Am now (almost) convinced it was a false start and what I took to be symptoms was just af on the way (though she's not here yet!)

Keeping fingers crossed for you at docs

I think when your TTC, every little thing somehow related to a pregnancy symptom. It's so hard to know if it's genuine or not. There's still hope until AF arrives for you! Xx

She was useless! No blood test, she did one of their tests and within 30 seconds she said 'meant to give it 3 minutes but I'd say that's negative' and threw it away. I've already been to the loo 3 times this morning. She told me I'd probably had an early miscarriage and when I said but I've had no bleeding she shrugged her shoulders and tutted! Waste of time xx

Meg hoe infuriating! To be honest while I value the work of health care professionals sadly I have to say I can't remember any real support in any of my dealings with Nhs. When I was pg with 1st it literally felt like I was getting my car serviced every time I saw midwife (don't even get me started on support during labour!).

Unfortunately all you can do is wait a bit longer. I'm waiting to retest on Monday - want to join?
