Is this a BFP???

Hi,

I'm hoping for some advice please ladies? I'm CD 32 with AF due today/tomorrow... However have not had the usual symptoms coming up to AF other than cramps. I tried a tesco test and a boots digital test this morning and both gave me a BFN.

However having just tried a FRER test, I think this looks promising? Can't quite believe it if so....

Thoughts please? SmileThanks so much x

Thank you all for taking the time to reply Smile

I'll try again in the morning and will hopefully see another line! OH and I are very excited but also a bit wary of getting our hopes up. If I get another BFP tomorrow then I'll feel better I think. Woo hoo!!! Xx

Congratulations - That's definitely a line! Boots and Tesco PT's have a lower sensitivity than a FRER (think that's 12.5MLu) so they might now show a positive for a few days. What one have you got to try tomorrow with FMU? Congratz again

Hi

This is a strong line. No need to retest.

Congratulations!!

If you have another test and want to use it perhaps use it 2-3 days after this test was done and you'll see a nice darkening of the line but really no need to as this is a very clear positive. I had a squinter which wouldn't photograph and even dp couldn't see but I knew it was there. This is much stronger than that.

Congratulations again Thanks

Yep, looks positive to me! Congrats!

P.s.

No other tests apart from the ones the dr's have are as sensitive as frer. I've had every type of test you can buy and frer are far and away the best. Also, don't believe the Internet cheapies and their sensitivity. The ic's only showed a positive 4 days after a clear line on a frer even though they are supposed to be 10mlu rather than frer at 12.5mlu.

Congratulations again Smile

Wow, you've all made me super excited!! Thank you for all the congratulations SmileI honestly was so sure this wasn't our month.. Not many symptoms at all yet.

I've got a FRER for tomorrow again Toadie so will use that.

Vap0 thank you for the info re tests. That's good to know!

What happens now?! Do I just call my GP? Yikes.... This is surreal and so exciting.

AH don't bother using the FRER tomorrow, like vap said, you'll be better waiting until at least the day after tomorrow so you get a much darker line :) Best to give the GP a call and book a midwives appointment for when you're 8 weeks (depends on where you are in the country whether they see you 8 weeks or maybe a bit before)

Go be super excited! Congratz again

That looks exactly like the first BFP I got, baby now 1 year old!!!! You can take it apart and hold it up to the light for further clarification! Don't place all your hopes on FRER I always found that they weren't really early response! Superdrug own pregnancy test are good!

Congratulations, here's to a happy and healthy 9 months!x

Those tests are considered the best. You are 100% pregnant!

Ok I'll hold off testing tomorrow and try on Tue instead. They're not cheap so like you both said, better to have a dark line and extra peace of mind!

Thanks for advice re midwife app, I'll call and get one arranged.

Good timing as well as I can use "dry January" as an excuse for me not having wine etc when socialising.... Wine

Aaaah I don't know what to do with myself!

As you're finding, people have different experiences with pregnancy tests. You can't categorically state that internet cheapies aren't as sensitive as frer for example. I tested positive with ICs 8 days post ovulation. FRER didn't work till 12 days post ovulation. GP tests are equally as sensitive as some other tests. In fact, our GP uses 25miu so less sensitive. Oh and you shouldn't take tests aparts as it invalidates them. However, you're getting clear positives so that's largely irrelevant.

Regardless, CONGRATULATIONS. You're growing a tiny new life. Have a brilliant pregnancy.

Sorry Scottish if I confused you, I misread your original post, didn't realise your BFP was with a FRER, so again congratulations, happy pregnancy!

Growing a tiny new life... That's amazing and terrifying all at the same time.

No worries fohamy you didn't confuse me. Smile thank you again!

Not sure if it's just physiological but I really feel different tonight... Like any symptoms I have been having have ramped up. Suppose this will happen as the days/weeks go on! How am I going to sleep tonight?? Haha!!
