Any recommendations? Not the "Thats not my..." would rather have something rhyming and with lovely pictures.

I have always like 'Dear Zoo' by Rod Campbell. It doesn't rhyme, but is repetitive in a way that babies and toddlers like.

"Frog and Pig" has been a big hit in our house. Also "Oh Dear" and "Dear Zoo".

Peepo is good, it rhymes and is nice and repetitive. It also has nice busy pics to talk about. Each Peach Pear Plum is also good, it's like an I Spy book.

"My Cow Book" (Jellycat) was a huge fave with DS from early on, and there's a whole series, My Dog Book, My Pig Book etc. They rhyme and have very bright pics, flaps and bits to grap - they are cloth not board, but they're great.

Sandra Boynton. Barnyard Dance is fun very rhythmic and not as annoyingly transatlantic as some of her others - "hey yoooooooooo guyzzzzzzz"

Peepo Baby! is great my DS still loves it and he's nearly 3! Baby Einstein do some great picture books which my DS loved at that age but they're not stories.

Little Fish was my daughter's favourite from very early on. Not rhyming, but it is a story and has lots of repetition plus lovely bright pictures.

Dig Dig Digging
were both firm favourites with ds(both have lovely pictures and are rhyming stories)

I'd also recommend the Barefoot Books boardbooks (see here)

Busters Bedtime is a fab little board book with loads of touchy feely bits and even has a tiny little book inside for you to turn the pages for Buster. Both my boys love it.
