Early first baby?

Hi am 36 weeks today and wondered how many people had an early first baby naturally?

Wondering whether my little one could be making an appearance at Xmas!

My first arrived at 38 weeks... Didn't even have a hospital bag packed as was convinced first babies come late (and take ages) - they don't always!

I'm still pregnant, but two friends had theirs at 36 weeks earlier this year and another at 38 weeks.

Yes naturally and very fast at 35weeks. No warning signs at all. Got home from work. Few hours later had my DD

I was 10 days early. The midwife at the hospital said I could not be in established labour as it was my first and said it was very unusual for first babies to be early.... 4 hours later my baby was in my arms!

38 weeks and 6 our labour (from first twinge). So entirely possible, yes :)

38+1 & 4.5 hour labour. No signs before waters broke & had first contractions that we're only a few mins apart. Good luck with everything.

Full term is anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks so theoretically, yes it could happen soon. While stastically, first babies gestate for slightly longer, some will obviously be born sooner. My first came at 38 weeks.

My first was born early at 34+5, no warning, waters broke and she was born 12 hours later none the worse for her early entrance. Currently 36 weeks with my second and wondering which side of Christmas they'll show up!

39+2. Waters broke whilst I brushed my teeth. DS1 born 18 hours later. Unfortunately DS2 was 5 days overdue and induced!

My baby was born when I was 36 +1 although I went into labour days earlier, just no one at the hospital believed me!

Oh god this worries me, I'm 32+4 and planning on travelling to see parents this xmas, 4hr drive away from my house. It wouldn't be the end of the world if baby came whilst I was there, but it would be nice if she find hang on until 37weeks!!

34+0 - waters went then contractions shortly after. No warning. A big shock as I was fully expecting to go overdue!

10% of babies are born

You wouldn't Little if you'd looked at the risks of being premature (being even a little bit premature increases the risks of all sorts of short and long term issues). Cross your legs till at least 39 weeks! Sorry you are in pain though.
