Is there some sort of fold down whojimmywhatsit that I can put up around my single burner stove?

Back from minimalism trip no 2 and I realise I NEED more kit .

I would love some sort of winged apparatus or mini windbreak thing to put up around the single stove to
a) stop it making alarming blowy noises in the strong gusts of winds
b) ? make it a bit more efficient (time to make early morning cup of tea = too long)
c) Raise awareness of FIRE and BOILING SUBSTANCES to the clumsiest and most unobservant child in the UK.

What are such things called?
Do they even exist?

There is a classic sepia photgraph in this month's Friendly Club magazine of a guy with a dwarf canvas windbreak (with little wood poles hammered into the ground) surrounding his stove, I want one of those, but more high tech, and of course very small and light so I can still be a minimalist .

Does your tent have a porch thing? It is allowed to use a stove there (watching it all the time, obv)

I just found a weedy little aluminium thing on ebay here but it doesn't look long enough or beefy enough to me (each bit is 4" wide, would that do?)

140g is super light. So light that is hardly even counts as extra camping stuff.

Ah now slubber... I can help you with this... as I have the most amazing windshield that I made about 15 years ago- still going strong, and we used it this weekend infact... weighs about 20 grams (though you need 2 spare tent pegs too, which I'm sure you probably have)

I have not bought/made anything yet as I have yet to measure the height of my stove.

I want to make an EachPeach Stove Shelter (TM) though. DH cannot object to home made camping paraphenalia.

my parents had an earlier incarnation of that stove & my Dad made a windshield from one of those huge catering-size coffee tins (I've only ever seen Nescafe ones, but there may be others). He took the bottom off & bound the cut edge with some sort of tape (probably duct tape type stuff) to cover the edge. He kept the lid & turned it upside down with lid on when not in use & used to pack stove burner & other bits & bobs in it for travelling.

It's not cardboard how could you think such a thing?

Don't think it would work with the type that has the gas under the burner- they're too raised off the ground.
Ours is a very low burner height, so works perfectly.
