oh yes. I had a great time last week in the open air. However now I wouldn't change my nice warm, waterproof(ish) house and more importantly my bed that I can climb up into, for all the fresh air and sunshine in the world.

yes and no.

It was lovely to see my loo today (see other thread). I'm missing having a cup of tea outside, looking at welsh hills and watching the dds running about A LOT though.

I've just had a glass of really cold white wine, the children are actually clean, we've had delicious lasagna with a properly crunchy top and garlic bread and salad in a proper salad bowl for tea and I'm going to sleep in a proper bed....

But we're going camping again on Wednesday!

The last time we went camping wsa 2 years ago and it rained a fair bit. Looks like the same situation this year.

But I agree, it's alway good to get home.

God yes. It's the only time I (briefly) appreciate my house. I moan about it the rest of the year.

I love my camping with a passion - we had great weather and I could sit outside my tent drinking chilled rose wine by candlelight for ever, watching the bats and listening to the crickets.

It also makes you realise how much water you use at home and how much stuff we have in our houses that we don't actually need.

I did miss Luce though.

We're going to Scotland on Wednesday - too far to abandon if the weather's hideous! Scared to look at the long range forecast.....

just got back from a week on Anglesey.I can't actually see my house...it's covered in a layer of camping things. It pissed down just as we were striking camp.(bastard weather)
Tent is drying behind me as i speak.
Had had enough by yesterday and was looking forward to own bed...but after one night am already looking forward to Snowdonia in 2 weeks

I think that was the site I was interested in but we decided Angelsey a bit far so settled on Barmouth. The site we were at was nice enough and the managers were great but, Barmouth, what a depressing dump (sorry if you live/love it there). So we spent an hour or so every day in the car and may as well have gone to Angelsey in the first place!!!
