Is it possible to have a mild cows milk allergy?

Very possibly DS had it from the day he was born but wasn't diagnosed until much later on.

Sick, crying, windy, lots of dirty nappies, rejecting food, irritable, rash??

Ds is slowly growing out if it. It's bad believe me, best to get it diagnosed ASAP.

The doctor seems to think my DD has a cows milk allergy but i'm not so sure as her only symptom is just watery/mucus poo which is only once a day. The doctor didnt test or anything just prescribed me a tin of special formula. As above DD doesnt have any of those symptoms. I feel like i should maybe get a second opinion. What do you think?

I was given the same diagnosis after DS had a spot of blood in his poo at about 4 months old, having had one bottle of formula since a day since a few weeks old. Like you, I was sceptical. I decided to continue to watch for symptoms and ended up never needing to move him onto the special formula. When I moved him over to all formula at 6 months old he was fine too. If you're in doubt I'd definitely get a 2nd opinion as a cows milk allergy is a bit of a hassle to deal with. The special formula tastes disgusting and when it comes to weaning onto solids it will be much easier if you know for sure whether your DD can have dairy or not.

Thanks all really appreciate your help. Looking at the site i really dont think she has this. She is 6 months old now, it is only the past few months her poos have been watery. At first i put it down to teething then i thought it was Aptamil then i thought - actually this cant be normal to have poo like this every day i took her to doc who thinks it is this. To be fair her poo has become firmer but shes only been once on this formula. Oh i dont know, maybe i just need a second opinion for reassurance.

Is she on solids? Could also be teething, or just when they start constantly putting random things in their mouth can apparently cause mild tummy upsets.

Yeah we have started solids she hasnt quite got the hang of it yet we are doing BLW. Yeah could be but surely that wouldnt cause poo to be like that all the time for like 3/4 months.
