Out of er.. interest. For a friend... friend is only 5 weeks, so doesn't want to announce publicly, you see.

Those who've fed during pregnancy - at what point did your nursling notice a difference in / lack of milk?

Congratulations to your, er, friend...

DS gave up feeding at about when I was 15 weeks with DD. He was 2.4 yo. I think he found it harder to get the milk and I was pretty uncomfortable with v tender boobs.

Hi jemjabella
I'm 11 weeks pregnant and for about the past week DD has been asking for a beaker of cows milk after her morning feed, so I am guessing from this that my supply is starting to drop. She is only 17 months and not talking yet so I don't know if the taste has changed. She's still happy to take her feed but I think not quite as enthusiastic as she was a few weeks ago. She tends to give a gentle tug at my pj top for her morning feed, whereas previously she has virtually tearing my clothes off.

You should suggest to your friend that she joins us on the breastfeeding while pregnant thread Grin

Congrats to your friend Grin

Your friend might like to read this book. She may also like to know that some women never notice a dip in supply. I BF DD1 throughout my pregnancy with DD2 with no complaints and I'm now tandem feeding.

We look forward to your friend posting on the pregnant and breastfeeding thread Wink
