"bits"???
DD1 is 3, recently potty trained and is currently obsessed with weeing standing up like Daddy (trying to, at any rate!). I've explained to her that only boys can do that because they have willies (or bellies, as she calls them!) but I'm not sure how to refer to her bits! Anyone got any suggestions that wouldn't sound too obscene coming from the mouth of a 3 year old? Not convinced at the thought of her referring to her fanjo in the presence of FIL!!

This one comes up time and time again .

We call them bits. Other people call them a variety of names.

it's a vulva

well, it is

tbh growing up we just had a bottom, with a wee-hole, a poo-hole and a baby-hole - we never used a specific word for vulva.

DD has started to differentiate between what she calls her 'wee bottom' and her 'poo bottom'. Although this does of course have overtones of the dreaded 'front bottom' it seems a sensible and clear distinction so I think I will leave it as that for now. We shall introduce the extra function and the term vulva later I think.

DD refers to her flannel. We call it fanny but she mispronounces alot of words, flannel being one of them.
