Hi, We don't know if we're having a boy or a girl yet. Boys name is already agreed, but girls is still uncertain.
I love Meredith but OH is unsure.
We both like Juliet, so are kind of settled on that but I have niggling doubts.
With dd1 we were absolutely sure and in love with her name (Clara) but I'm just not feeling that type of reaction this time.
I'm considering suggesting Merryn to OH - I wasn't sure about it at first but its grown on me; what are people's opinions please? Does it sit well as a sibling for Clara?
Thanks

Yes, it's Cornish. We aren't, but many happy holidays spent there 😊

I just had to Google that claudia - never seen GoT.
It's spelled differently. Is it a bad association? Google hits from 2015, so an old character.....

As long as you’re not Game of Thrones fans... Other than that, it’s pretty.

Crops post, Tino he’s evil and his name is repeated throughout several series as he’s on a major character’s list of people she wants to kill.

Hmm I guess any name can get negative associations with book/ tv characters.
I can live with it, and by the time she's at school the character will be long forgotten.

In Cornwall it's mainly associated with St Merryn Meat. This is not a good association.

Of course any name may have an evil character in a TV programme or book.

But Merryn is a much more unusual name, and I reckon the association will stick in people's minds much more than it would if the character's name was Ava...

Nope. Merryn Trant as others said, or possibly a hobbit.

Beautiful name. I had a Cornish girl work at the same company as me for a while called Merryn and she was lovely!

Yes, I think because it’s unusual more people will think you deliberately named her after an evil man in GOT.

I think Merryn is nice but that Juliette goes better with Clara.
