Are these just names for dogs?

I love Rex, I think it means king. Not sure about Rufus though!

I think dog names, sorry.

I like Rufus. But Rex sounds really harsh. It makes me think of T-rex, a dinosaur GrinBlush

I really like Rex.

Rufus is a bit harder to pull of but I don't dislike it. Not sure how well it transitions from baby to man though.

What about Rudy and Roman?

Rufus, like Rufus Wainwright. Love it!

Rex, dog I'm afraid

I was thinking like Rufus Wainwright. Not keen on Rudy etc. We were discussing Felix but that’s a cat isn’t it?

I love Rex. We've chosen it for one of our twins.

Not so keen on Rufus

Happy Rex Manning day! Sorry, Rex just makes me think of ‘Empire Records’. Cult movie but it sticks.

I like Rufus but I do think it’s quite a posh name. Private school name IMO.

Felix is cat food.

Rex is a popular dogs name. Rufus seems popular for both dogs and boys.

I like Rex! You have to be a bit brave to pull it off but I see it as a cooler Max. Not so sure about Rufus. Rhymes with Doofus which is American for idiot, but friends o know love it

Felix is a cat, though I know a few boys called this too

I love all those names! Dog nanes don’t really exist any more IMO; most dogs I know are called Max/Charlie/Luna/Willow.

I vote Rex.

These days, many dogs have human names ! 😂
I love them both, but will choose Rex, very cool.

Why don't you get a cat or dog instead since you are fixated on pet names?

Report
joystir59 · 17/02/2018 07:22

What about King for a boy as this is what Rex means?

Report
joystir59 · 17/02/2018 07:23

Milo is another good dog name, but perhaps over popular

Archie? Alfie? Or bring back the old fashioned Fido or Rover?

I was at school with a Rufus and a Rex.

One was gorgeous, one was a massive arsehole Grin

Prince?

Report
joystir59 · 17/02/2018 07:32

I would think most boys called Rufus or Rex would have to be complete arseholes to cope with the name. Will your son be attending fee paying schools?

Report
Onemorecornetto · 17/02/2018 07:44

What about Rory?

Report
joystir59 · 17/02/2018 07:51

Rory is a good name

What difference does it make whether the school is or isn't fee paying GrinConfused?
