Which do you prefer?

Eric is a family name and DP really likes it.

I've always had a soft spot for Archie.

Surname: Black

We're not pregnant yet but hope to be soon!

Definitely prefer Eric. Eric Black sounds like a cool name that can work both on a child and a grown man.

ERIC no question

sonlypuppyfat Mon 16-Oct-17 23:19:58

Eric as in Eric and Ernie?

TatianaLarina Tue 17-Oct-17 00:20:41

Quite.

As in Eric Sykes - it’s an old man’s name.

stopbeingadramallama Tue 17-Oct-17 00:26:19

I love the name Eric!

DiegoMadonna Tue 17-Oct-17 00:41:14

It's gone from 234th in the ONS national rankings to 147th in the last five years, and most of the replies on here have been positive about it, so I'm pretty sure it's not going to be an old man's name for much longer.

Names are cyclical and Eric is definitely on its way back in

ThaliaLuxurySpa Tue 17-Oct-17 01:56:55

Archie

Joeybee Tue 17-Oct-17 03:30:18

Prefer Archie, but Archibald on birth cert.
