Looking at girls names. Really struggling. Boys names seem to be much easier than girls. Opinions and ideas welcome smile

No, I don't like it at all, sorry.

But what matters is whether YOU like it smile

Sample1936 Thu 27-Apr-17 14:22:44

Love it

robinia Thu 27-Apr-17 14:22:55

It's a beautiful name.

Sophronia Thu 27-Apr-17 15:39:39

Not keen, sorry.

Skp87 Thu 27-Apr-17 15:41:30

Nice name but it's fairly common (as in popular lol)

Sugarpiehoneyeye Thu 27-Apr-17 15:43:12

I do, but I love, and much prefer Hebe.

Susiethetortoiseshellcat Thu 27-Apr-17 16:26:02

I really don't like it but not sure why and know I'm in the minority, it's very popular.

GuinessPunch Thu 27-Apr-17 16:26:49

Its awful. Reminds me of a drippy blonde.

hoddtastic Thu 27-Apr-17 16:27:52

i know 3, ones in her twenties, one in her teens and a 3 year old, love it.

WhereAreMyTesticlesSummer Thu 27-Apr-17 16:28:48

I really dislike it.

Fee-bee sounds rather ridiculous to my ear as a name for a human.

MrsBellefleur Thu 27-Apr-17 16:29:08

I love it as I have one!

Iamcheeseman Thu 27-Apr-17 16:30:50

I really like it. My 3 year old's friend is called phoebe

devondream Thu 27-Apr-17 16:31:24

We have a Phoebe in our extended family - she is ace! And because of her I love the name too.

MiddlingMum Thu 27-Apr-17 16:33:02

With the emphasis on phonetics in school, I think it could be a bit confusing to spell. But that's not really the point, I suppose.

It's ok, but would never be on my top ten list of girls' names, although the only Phoebe I know is lovely.

danTDM Thu 27-Apr-17 16:35:04

It's very common.
I wouldn't choose it. You will be 'phoebe 2/3' etc, at school.

MusicToMyEars800 Thu 27-Apr-17 16:35:50

I love the name Phoebe, also it reminds me of the character Phoebe in charmed, which I loved watching and she was my fav character grin

ThePurpleOneWithTheNut Thu 27-Apr-17 16:36:23

Im not so keen. It sounds a bit like Feeble to me confused

Also there was someone called Phoebe on the Archers when I used to listen to it years ago and they always called her 'Feebs' which was awful.

purpleallover Thu 27-Apr-17 16:37:42

I love it. Pregnant also and it is one of our favourites though not the name we have gone with. Go for it op 😊

shitgibbon Thu 27-Apr-17 16:39:13

No, but only because it reminds me of Phoebe from Friends and I didn't like her character.

MyWhatICallNameChange Thu 27-Apr-17 16:45:16

Love it, it was on my list but I thought Friends might have made it popular, though it never did (and I had boys!)

harderandharder2breathe Thu 27-Apr-17 18:43:57

I really like iy

Riderontheswarm Thu 27-Apr-17 18:48:29

It is not common where I live. I haven't met or heard of a single Phoebe other than on Friends. So I don't think it is likely she would be one of three in her class. But I don't like the name. It sounds weak and squeaky to me. Loads of people really love it though so if you like it go for it. I let people talk me out of my fave name. Wish I could turn back the clock.

Rockaby Thu 27-Apr-17 19:32:38

Yes, I think it's very pretty and easy to say in most accents I can imagine.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles Fri 28-Apr-17 09:30:24

Have liked it for ages smile (but less keen on 'Feebs' as a diminutive which seems unavoidable).
