I love Rose and love Belle, but I must say I think Rosabelle sounds a bit made up.

I'm not keen.

I know it's a 'proper' / traditional name, but the combination of the floral sound at the start and the belle at the end somehow makes me find it a little OTT and Disney-ish.

I've seen it discussed on here before and loads of people think it sounds made up. I imagine people might think the same thing IRL, so you could end up explaining it all the time which could be a bit irksome.

My DD is Rosabel, so yes, I like it. ;) She goes by Rosie most of the time.

It is on the frillier side, and the Victorians did seem to make it up, but hey ho. I don't think those are the worst things in the world.

I've always had a liking for this name, and I don't generally go for Rose-type names at all. It's definitely older than Victorian though - back to 1652 at least.

I'm not keen TBH: a bit overly twee & girly. Imagine her as an adult professional having to introduce herself to new clients or fellow professionals. She'll have to fight extra hard to be taken seriously.

Rosa on its own is a lovely name tho. Give her Belle as a seperate middle name so you can run them together if you want but she's not mortified as a teenager/adult by her cabbage patch name?

I like Rose or Rosa and I like Belle. Not together though. It's a bit American Wild West or Deep South for me. I picture a buxom dancing girl with a frilly dress in a saloon bar or a homely 'apple pie' type 'momma', fixing a pitcher of lemonade to serve on the veranda.
