Darcie looks a bit like Dacre

I'd go for Darcey

Darcey and Neve is actually, Niamh!! Pronounced Neve though.

I don't know whether to pronounce Neve like Niamh or Nev like the beginning of the name Neville...

I like the Niamh pronunciation, but I like the spelling Niamh more.

Don't like Darcie.

Neve, as I don't like Darcie (rhymes with arsey!)

Do you mean Niamh or a different name pronounced Ne-ve?

Report

I like Niamh and prefer it to Darcie.

But I do love Darcy.

That's probably not helpful...

Darcie is going to date horribly. Like Tracey in the 80s.

Niamh is nice.

Darcie is gorgeous
. Ive never been a fan of Neve and especially Niamh. Ive never got names where the spelling makes no sense and doesn't match the pronunciation

It does match the pronunciation - it's just not English!

aww

The spelling does make sense and does match the pronunciation!

Darcie is a horrible name and Neve isn't a name at all...it's Niamh

If you don't like the traditional Irish spelling of Niamh then what about spelling in Neave like Neave Campbell? That makes it. Lear how it's pronounced.

Neve or Niamh.

Darcie and Darcey is very, very popular with babies right now. It's going to peak and date.

I work with kids so i notice these patterns!

Darcie if you are going to spell Niamh as Neve! I actually much prefer Niamh though.

caffelatte100 · 29/12/2016 22:11

I like neither name, sorry.

Planetarymagic1 · 29/12/2016 22:13

I like Niamh but please spell it properly.

Neve Campbell, it's not spelled Neave.

I did come across a Neeve the other day.

Prefer niamh though as the correct spelling.

SausageSoda · 29/12/2016 22:19

Neve is a recognised variation of Niamh and it is pronounced the same. I'm Irish so whilst in Ireland the majority are spelt Niamh there are some Neve's too.

I hate the name Darcie so would pick Neve out of the two.

Neve. And this spelling is absolutely fine if you are not Irish (or even if you are)

Neve is nice. I usually agree about alternative spellings but for some reason this is one I really like.

Darcie/Darcey/Darcy is extremely popular at the moment and one of my least favourite names ever. I just don't get the appeal at all!

Nancy?

Also Neve Campbell pronounces it "nev".
