Zach is classic for me and most preferred.

We have a Zac (full name is Zachary). I thought the "h" on the end looked odd, so we just went for the simplistic shortened form.

I do like zach and zachary but im unsure whether to put a name on the birth certificate that i will most likely never use yet will people automatically think zach is zachary like people assume sam is samuel?

I would have said Zach or zac is short for Zachary. So depends what his name will be! I like Zak. Not short for anything Smile

I prefer Zac but any spelling you've listed is fine.

I wouldn't presume that Zac was an abbreviation and would spell it as I have

I have a Zachary which we shorten to Zach

I have an irrational hatred of the Zack spelling - it looks so harsh

I like Zach or Zac

But I'd definitely put Zachary on the bc.

I don't like Zak but all the others are fine. I think Zachary is lovely so would use the full name.

Zach or Zac if short for Zachariah, Zachary or Zaccheus

Zak if short for Zakaria (this is a Muslim spelling, not a "unique" spelling".

Or Zac if short for Isaac

Zac is most common in my circle of friends/acquaintances and it is sometimes just Zac on the birth certificate.

Not many spelling variants of Luke.Wink

Luke is a perfect name if you are unsure whether to "do" shortened names or not! And only one spelling (I think!) to worry about

Report
BobbieDog · 21/12/2016 18:51

It really annoys me when people spell your name wrong as there is so many different ways to spell it.

Where as with Luke there is no shortening, no spelling errors etc
