Like Percy but not Percy?

I love the name Percy but I searched for old threads about it on this board and it looks like a resounding NO ("Percy Pig" / "pointing Percy at the porcelain" which I must admit I'd never heard before!)

Can anyone suggest a similar classic boys name that isn't Top 100? We like recognisable but obsolete...a lot to ask!

Percy's not wildly to my taste, but I know a very cool one who must be about eight by now - sparky, confident and certainly not oppressed by his name.

I would go with Percy if you love it, I quite like it.

Bertie is hugely popular now though! But I used to like it.

I like Bernard, Edgar, is Quentin a bit too posh?

I like Percy!

I'd suggest Stanley but I think that's in the top 100.

How about...

Ernest / Ernie
Leonard / Lenny
Sidney / Sid
Wilfred / Wilf / Freddie
Ronald / Ronnie
Morris

Some lovely suggestions thank you!

Not sure about Enoch though - I'm young and can only associate it with Enoch Powell Hmm
